The Esherick Trio

This concert is given in memory of violinist and colleague 
Kevin Sloan (1990-2024) 

Proceeds from the concert will benefit Camp No Worries, a summer camp for children with cancer, in honor of Kevin's life. 

27-year-old violist Keoni Bolding enjoys an eclectic career, performing with ensembles around the world including the London Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Described as “mesmerizing” (The Burlington Hawkeye Times) and “transportive” (Santa Barbara Voice), music has been at the center of Keoni’s life since the age of three. Recent highlights include joining the viola section of the Houston Symphony Orchestra, capturing the transcription prize at the Primrose International Viola Competition, and premiering his electronic chamber opera 52 Hz: The Whale Opera at Lincoln Center. He holds degrees from The Curtis Institute of Music , The Juilliard School, and Mercer University. In his spare time, Keoni enjoys backpacking and surfing with his HSO homies and helping his family take care of their small dairy farm.

Peter Lockman has performed throughout the United States, Europe and Korea appearing at Carnegie Hall, the White House, and the Wiener and Graz Musikvereins. He earned his Bachelor of Music at DePauw University studying with Eric Edberg and Master of Music at Indiana University studying with Eric Kim. He acted as principal cellist at both universities, was a finalist in the DePauw Concerto Competition for three consecutive years, and soloed with IU’s Philharmonic Orchestra as winner of the Jacobs School of Music Cello Competition.  In 2014, Peter co-founded the Esherick Trio with fellow musicians Keoni Bolding and Seth Trumbore focusing on producing audience-centric experiences emphasizing diversity in programming, audience-performer connection and education.  

Seth Trumbore graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor's in Piano Peformance and Piano Pedagogy, where he studied with Harvey Wedeen. In addition to being an associate musician at Church of the Holy Spirit, Harleysville, Seth is also a piano technician serving the greater Philadelphia area. He has a passion for chamber music, and enjoys collaborating with other musicians whenever he can.
